Toy Library Closed

I am shocked and heartbroken by the scandal that has forced the closure of FamilyConnections’ toy library.  This library was one of the best in the country and a critical resource for many families who struggle in poverty. My own children have spent countless afternoons there watching the fish, having a “meal” with plastic vegetables in the mini kitchen and — best of all — bringing home wooden people, musical instruments, shape sorters and literally hundreds of other kinds of toys. I hope some other agency will be able to carry on with this much-needed service.
